VCR Intercity Relay 2021
Vancouver Chinese Runners (“VCR”) is organized by three Chinese running groups in the Greater Vancouver area: IRUN Club, CROSSNA, and WIND Running Club, to promote communication between runners from different cities, to participate in local and other races around the world with a unified appearance, and to combine resources to better serve and support all the runners and communities.

The objective of the 2021 VCR Intercity Relay is to encourage people to continue their training and exercises with a more focused approach during the Covid-19 pandemic and bring runners from different cities together. Running makes us healthy physically, feeling connected makes us strong mentally.

The 2021 VCR Intercity Relay will take place on September 12th, 2021. The race is in the format of a relay with a minimum number of six runners for each participating team. Each team must claim its representative city when registering. The race will be held in Burnaby Central Secondary school track and field located at 6011 Deer Lake Pkwy, Burnaby, BC V5G 0A9. Each member of the participating team must run ONE leg and ONLY one leg of the relay. The relay team must run a total of 8 hours, and the team with the longest-running distance will be the winner of the race. Please see the link for the detailed rules of the race.

The team captain shall email the name of the team and the city it is representing to vcr@irunfitness.ca before the registration of team members. We will reply and confirm the name of the team as soon as possible. The team will then be included in the team list on the registration site so that each participating runner can choose his or her relay team accordingly when registering for the race.

The registration fee is $15 per person. Each registered runner will receive a souvenir, and the top three teams will receive additional prizes. The registration will be cut off on August 31, 2021.
